Workplace visit
Employees who work for long periods in static positions or perform repetitive movements are at increased risk of overloading their arms, shoulders and back. This can lead to physical discomfort and, over time, a reduced quality of life. A workplace visit provides employees with practical, immediately applicable tips and guidance on healthy, ergonomically responsible working postures and a safer working environment.
What does a workplace visit include?
Before the workplace visit takes place, a workplace orientation is carried out. During this initial assessment, the consultant observes the workstation and daily tasks (whether in a factory, office or on the road) to identify the main opportunities for improvement.
The organisation can then choose between two formats:
-
Individual workplace assessments (45 minutes per employee)
An OVGM consultant observes the employee’s daily tasks and analyses posture, workstation setup and physical load. The employee receives practical, directly applicable recommendations to improve their working posture and prevent overuse. Each employee receives a personal written report summarising the findings and concrete improvement points.
-
Combination of workshop + individual assessments
This option consists of:-
Workshop ‘prevention of physical complaints’ (1.5 hours) in which employees learn how to recognise and reduce physical strain, which postures increase risk, and which habits help prevent physical complaints.
-
Individual workplace assessments (20 minutes per employee)A consultant observes the employee in their actual working situation and provides personal tips and adjustments for posture and workstation ergonomics.
-
Business report
After all workplace visits have been completed, the employer receives a clear, structured report summarising the key findings. The report outlines identified risks, pain points and opportunities for improvement. It also includes a concise conclusion and practical recommendations to enhance ergonomics, working posture and physical load across the organisation.
These insights support the employer in taking targeted preventive measures and creating a healthy, safe and sustainable working environment.
