Health check/Preventive Medical Examination (PME)

Would you like an easy way to gain insight into the health, vitality and sustainable employability within your organisation? A health check/PME helps employees understand their current health status and identify steps they can take to strengthen their wellbeing and vitality. At the same time, the organisational report provides employers with a clear and practical overview of potential work‑related risks, enabling timely adjustments and preventive investments in a healthy, vital work environment.

What does a health check/PME include?

A health check/PME consists of three components:

  1. Online questionnaire
Prior to the appointment, participants complete an online questionnaire. It includes questions about diet, physical condition, lifestyle and work experience. The answers give the consultant an initial impression of how someone lives and works, and form the basis for personalised tips and recommendations during the consultation.

  2. Physical tests
A series of physical measurements and tests are then carried out. These may include: height and weight, BMI, waist circumference, body fat percentage, blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, lung function, Functional Movement Screen, endurance assessment (submaximal bicycle test), stress measurement, vision test and audiometry.

  3. Personal consultation
Immediately following the physical assessments, a personal consultation takes place. During this conversation, the test results and questionnaire responses are reviewed together. Participants receive an information leaflet about the tests performed and an overview of their personal results. If they have participated before, current values can be compared with previous measurements. The consultation provides space for questions about the vitality check and lifestyle, and (if desired) practical advice is offered by the consultant.

Business report

After all health checks/PMEs have been completed, a business report is compiled. This report brings together anonymised results from participants, provided that consent has been given. The data can never be traced back to individual employees.

The report offers a clear overview of the organisation’s overall health, vitality and employability. By identifying trends and key attention points, it supports employers in recognising potential work‑related risks. Based on these insights, preventive measures can be taken in a timely manner, enabling a focused approach to building a healthy, vital and sustainable workplace.
